The NYLINE email list is New York's Libraries Information Network! Anyone can subscribe to the NYLINE list for information about library developments in New York State, announcements from the NYS Library, library-related job openings in and around NYS, and networking and training opportunities.
The NYLINE list is an unmoderated list. As a subscriber, your posted messages are received by over 3,000 readers, including leaders in libraries and library systems and others interested in New York's libraries.
You can also subscribe through the Listserv interface.
Here are some quick tips so you can get the most of out your NYLINE subscription.
To post a message to NYLINE, address it to NYLINE@listserv.nysed.gov. Mail sent to this address is distributed to everyone who is subscribed.
Please refrain from posting commercial solicitations or campaign messages to the NYLINE list. If you are unsure of the appropriateness of a message, feel free to contact the list manager. Messages posted on NYLINE should relate to library service and developments in New York State. Courtesy among subscribers is assumed.
Subscribers can update their information at any time, including changes to names and email addresses. Often, mail will be forwarded from an old email account to a new one; however, subscribers will no longer be able to post to NYLINE without access to the original account. To update an e-mail address or the name Listserv associates with it, please contact the list owner.
To unsubscribe from the NYLINE list:
A "digest" version of NYLINE is available by sending the SET NYLINE DIGEST command to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.NYSED.GOV. This will give you one cumulative message per day rather than one or several real-time messages. You can also change this setting in the Listserv interface.
Messages sent to NYLINE are automatically archived. NYLINE subscribers can browse and search the list archives. Please note that you may be prompted to log in and create a password.
