State Aid for Library Construction, September 2024
The New York State Education Department and New York State Library have approved 207 construction awards to public libraries and public library systems in legislative districts throughout New York State. These awards are supported by a $34 million capital fund appropriation in the 2023-2024 State Budget. We thank you for your continuing support of this important program.
We hope the members of the Senate and Assembly will take the opportunity to announce the 2023-2024 awards in their districts. We will delay our formal notification to the press for five business days to accommodate you and allow you to make the announcement to your constituents. We will then send out a press release announcing all construction projects.
