The Erie Canal by the book, pamphlet, brochure, map and picture

November 2017

Since construction of the Erie Canal began 200 years ago, in 1817, and since the NYS Museum recently opened a new exhibit on the Canal, the Library's November 2017 exhibit on the seventh floor focuses on many ways to navigate and learn about the New York State Erie Canal: you can hike, bike, canoe, cruise, sail, take a field trip, go on a canalway quest, or read one of the tour guides to find your way through our state's treasured Erie Canal.
